Passenger transportation increases by 4.0% in 1H

Passenger turnover made up 53.3 billion pass-km and increased by 5.2%, according to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

The largest share in transportation of passengers fell on motor transport - 98.9%, its share in passenger turnover was 89.3%.

Departure of passengers in railway transport increased by 1.6% to 10.7 million people, passenger turnover increased by 9.0% to 2.072 billion pass-km.

About 1.055 million people were transported via airplanes, which is 3.9% higher than in January-June 2016, passenger turnover increased by 8.9% and amounted to 3.43 billion pass-km.

Passenger transportation and passenger turnover of the subway compared to January-June 2016 increased by 10.5%.
