Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A traffic accident involving a passenger train occurred in Karakalpakstan on the Andijan–Kungrad route.

According to Uzbekistan Railways, at around 4:00 p.m. on 30 July, a KamAZ truck attempted to cross the tracks at an unguarded railway crossing between Baday and Beruniy stations, violating traffic rules, just as the train was passing.

As a result of the collision, the train derailed. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries. An emergency response team promptly arrived at the scene.

An investigation into the circumstances of the accident is currently underway.

To ensure onward travel for passengers to Nukus and Kungrad, six buses were provided.
