Within the unique project, its participants familiarize with culture of the Great Silk Road countries and participate in lectures at the universities in these countries. The project was started on 1 March and the participants visited Turkey, Iran and Turkmenistan.
The project participants were welcomed at Westminster International University in Tashkent and participated at three lectures - "Touch with the culture of Uzbekistan", "Uzbekistan: history, culture and traditions" and "The Constitution of Uzbekistan".
Joya van Hout, project manager of The Study Road, said that after familiarizing with sights and nature of Uzbekistan on cycle, Westminster International University in Tashkent presented good opportunity to better understand country in context of culture, history and future.
On May 20, the cyclists left for Kyrgyzstan. They will also visit Kazakhstan and China. The trip will end in Beijing.
This year, The Study Road is attended by eight cyclists. In next year, it is planned to increase number of participants.
