Participants of the first US certified trade mission arrive in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The first certified US trade mission starts its work in Tashkent on 18 June 2019, which will hold a series of events and meetings with the participation of government and business circles of our country.

This visit is organized by the Embassy Uzbekistan in Washington in conjunction with the US Department of Commerce in the framework of the implementation of agreements reached during the talks between President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Minister of Trade Wilbur Ross in October 2018 in Tashkent.

About 30 representatives of 13 leading American companies take part in the trade mission They represent such areas as consumer goods production, health care and pharmaceuticals, construction, geology, metallurgy, aviation, logistics, agriculture, animal husbandry, agricultural engineering, software and education.

Along with such giants as Procter & Gamble, Medtronic, Bell Helicopter, which are included in the list of the largest US corporations "Fortune 500", the business mission also includes:

- the world-famous construction company Bechtel, which considers its participation in the implementation of large infrastructure projects in Uzbekistan;

- leader in the development of software for industrial and civil construction and mechanical engineering "AutoDesk";

- The world's largest educational organization for testing and evaluation, ETS, which, together with the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of Uzbekistan, will discuss the development of test tasks for conducting entrance examinations at a number of universities and certification of employees of ministries and departments of the republic;

- investment company Silverleafe, implementing a project to create a cotton cluster in Jizzakh region.

Within the framework of the visit of American companies in Tashkent with the participation of high-ranking representatives of the Government of Uzbekistan, relevant ministries and departments, the American Chamber of Commerce, international financial institutions and business circles of the two countries, a business forum is scheduled for 18 June, and a cooperation exchange in the format “G2B” on 19 June, and cooperation exchange in the format “B2B” on 20 June.
