Parliaments of Central Asian Countries and South Korea Discuss Economy and Digital Transformation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The first session of the third meeting of the heads of parliaments of Central Asian countries and the Republic of Korea focused on economic cooperation, digital transformation, and industrial development.

Participants highlighted the active strengthening of regional economic ties, the implementation of major joint projects, and the growing mutual trust among the countries.

Lawmakers discussed establishing a systematic approach to long-term cooperation, stimulating investment, expanding financial interaction, developing the digital economy, and creating a legislative framework to reinforce inter-parliamentary relations.

The session also focused on practical results of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and South Korea, the resilience of trade and economic relations, joint ventures, and investment projects. Prospects for cooperation in industry, energy, transport, agriculture, and education were examined.

At the conclusion of the session, the parties agreed to develop economic cooperation as a strategic direction, establish joint technological and industrial clusters, and implement projects in digital integration and green economy in the near future.
