Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 19 February 2020, a delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Zainiddin Nizamkhodjaev took part in a “round table” at the Vienna Diplomatic Academy organized by the Embassy of our country in Austria with the invitation of compatriots engaged in labor activities in international organizations, as well as Uzbek students studying in leading metropolitan universities.

The Uzbek delegation arrived in Vienna to attend the winter session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.

During the “round table”, the main provisions of the Address of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev Oliy Majlis were brought to the attention of the Uzbek diaspora, the state program under development in accordance with the 2020 announcement - “The Year of the Development of Science, Education and the Digital Economy” was emphasized, and detailed information was provided on ongoing large-scale reforms in the socio-political and socio-economic spheres of state life.

Particular attention was paid to measures taken by the leadership of Uzbekistan to support young people and stimulate them in the field of education, employment and overall comprehensive development. In particular, the effective activity of the nationwide Yuksalish movement and the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation under the Government of Uzbekistan was noted.

During the event, its participants were also familiarized with the main provisions of the decrees of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures of state support and encouragement of compatriots living abroad” and “On measures to further strengthen guarantees for the protection of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan engaged in temporary labor activities abroad and members their families. "

At the meeting, which took place in a discussion format, compatriots received answers to all relevant questions of interest to them, and also shared their suggestions and opinions on the possible contribution of Uzbek specialists and students located in Vienna to the development of Uzbekistan.

Many of the students participating in the meeting expressed a desire to return to their homeland after graduating and assured of their readiness to make a personal contribution to the further prosperity of the country.
