Parliamentarians of Uzbekistan and Hungary Hold Meeting in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 10 September, Oral Ataniyazova, Deputy Chair of the Senate Committee on Science, Education, and Healthcare, held a meeting with István Jakab, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary.
The discussions focused on the current state and future prospects of inter-parliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hungary. It was noted that bilateral parliamentary ties have significantly intensified in recent years.
Special attention was given to cooperation in education, science, healthcare, and environmental protection. Both sides expressed interest in expanding exchanges of experience and implementing joint projects in these areas.
The important role of inter-parliamentary cooperation groups in advancing bilateral dialogue was highlighted, with particular reference to the consistent work of the Uzbekistan-Hungary inter-parliamentary group operating within the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.
