The opening ceremony of the Shumanay Park was held on 26 August 2017 in a festive atmosphere with the participation of the Uzbek celebraties.

The park was built on modern technologies to ensure the leisure of not only children, but also their parents. On the territory of the park with a total area of 6 hectares, there are 21 children’s attractions, separate area for adults, cafes, catering facilities, and a large parking lot for cars.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev ordered to construct the park. About 4.73 billion soums were directed to realize the project.

The project was implemented with assistance of the National Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan, as well as Uzbekneftegaz.

Farrukh Ziyodov, a visitor, said it is a long-awaited dream for local citizens. It was always problematic to bring children to the park. Now, we can spend more time with our children after launch of the park.

Currently, the park was not fully completed. It is expected that all work on equipping the facility will be completed in early autumn.
