Pakistani Royal Leather Industries Launches Leather Goods Production Project in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Pakistani company Royal Leather Industries Limited is launching a new manufacturing project in Uzbekistan.

Ahead of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Pakistan, the country hosted a “Made in Uzbekistan” exhibition, where enterprises belonging to the O‘zcharmsanoat association presented domestic leather products to international partners.

During the event, a cooperation agreement was signed with Royal Leather Industries Limited. According to the agreement, the company plans to implement a new production project in Uzbekistan focused on the manufacturing of finished leather goods.

The project envisions deep processing of local raw materials, an increase in the share of high value-added products, and expansion of export potential.

In February, a company delegation led by CEO Muhammad Azam Malik will arrive in Uzbekistan. The visit will include practical discussions on establishing a specialized production zone for finished leather goods within the small industrial area of the Ohangaron district in the Tashkent region.

Preparatory work is currently underway in cooperation with the administration of the small industrial zone to address key issues that will be reviewed during the visit. The Pakistani side has confirmed its readiness to sign a Memorandum of Understanding and conduct an official working visit by the company’s project team.

The implementation of the project will contribute to the development of Uzbekistan’s leather industry, create new jobs, strengthen international industrial cooperation, and increase exports of finished products.
