So, on the websites of the Pakistani newspaper “Islamabad News” and the news agency “Diplomatic News Agency” published material on the initiative of the head of Uzbekistan to combine the efforts of the state and business in supporting socially vulnerable groups of the population.
Publications report that the head of the country urged entrepreneurs to provide charity through financial assistance, employment and creating other earning opportunities for people with limited incomes. In turn, the business will be provided with various benefits and preferences for taxes, leasing, loans, access to necessary resources.
Publications report that this initiative will be implemented in cooperation between the territorial branches of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, banks, and social protection departments.
On 20 April, during a video conference, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev put forward an initiative to create a nationwide movement that involves the interaction of the state and entrepreneurs in providing charitable assistance. On 22 April, this initiative was embodied in the adoption of a government decision on the establishment of the Kindness and Support Foundation.
The Foundation and its branches are opened at the Mahalla Charitable Public Foundation and its territorial departments as non-legal entities. Foundation’s funds are formed from sponsorship and charitable contributions and other sources not prohibited by law.
