Pakistani Companies Discuss Collaboration with Uzbekistan’s Pharmaceutical Sector
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 12 November 2025, the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry hosted meetings with the management of Pakistani companies JHK Pharma and Fozan Pharmaceutical Industries to explore prospects for collaboration in the pharmaceutical sector and the implementation of joint investment projects.
JHK Pharma, which has experience in producing infusion solutions and medical devices, examined opportunities to operate in the Central Asian market. Representatives of the company were provided with detailed information about the Agency’s activities, the pharmaceutical cluster, and ongoing investment projects.
During the meeting with Fozan Pharmaceutical Industries, discussions focused on organizing pharmaceutical production according to international standards, exchanging expertise, implementing new investment projects, and developing cooperation in the field of natural products, particularly herbs.
The Director of the Agency, Abdullo Azizov, emphasized that the pharmaceutical industry is recognized as a new driver of the country’s economy. He provided foreign investors with detailed information on favorable business conditions, government policies in the pharmaceutical sector, measures to increase export potential, and the activities of the Tashkent Pharma Park cluster.
The meetings were productive, resulting in mutual understanding on the development of cooperation, implementation of joint investment projects, and support for new initiatives in Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical industry.
