O’zbekiston bilan birdamlik action gains pan-European scale

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Embassy of Uzbekistan in France organized a videoconference with the participation of citizens of Uzbekistan living, studying and carrying out their activities in this country, Duneot reported.

The compatriots were informed in detail about the decisive and effective measures taken by the Government of Uzbekistan to counteract the spread of infection and to mobilize large resources for the effective treatment of patients.

The diplomatic mission emphasized the readiness to provide comprehensive assistance and support to our citizens located in France in the event of any possible problem situations.

It was noted that for these purposes, the Embassy established an Operations Headquarters, which operates around the clock to quickly respond to all requests from citizens of Uzbekistan during the period of quarantine measures.

During the videoconference, members of the initiative group informed about the accession of citizens of Uzbekistan, currently residing in Belgium, the UK, Italy, Switzerland and several other European countries, to the O'zbekiston bilan birdamlik campaign, previously initiated in France, to voluntarily raise funds for helping vulnerable populations in Uzbekistan fight the pandemic.

According to the initiators of the project, in this way, the action actually takes on a pan-European scale: “We urge other countries to support our good aspirations to raise funds to help our native Uzbekistan. All the funds raised will be spent with absolute transparency and maximum efficiency and each of us will be able to contribute to the fight against the pandemic,” they said.

The meeting participants expressed appreciation for the organization of the event, expressed their desire to make their active contribution to the fight against the pandemic.
