Owner of Instagram and Telegram Pages Held Accountable for Posting Immoral Content
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Committee for the Development of Competition of Uzbekistan has reported that measures have been taken against the owner of social media pages where videos violating norms of morality and ethics were published.
The investigation established that videos featuring actions, imagery, and expressions contrary to national and family traditions, as well as generally accepted standards of morality, were posted through Instagram and Telegram pages under the name “KAMOLA YULDASHEVNA KOSMETOLOG.” The case sparked significant public attention.
An administrative protocol was drawn up against the page owner, Kamola Yoʻldosh qizi Khudoyqulova, for violating the law, and the case has been submitted to the court.
The Committee noted that in the event of repeated violations, the materials will be referred to law enforcement agencies for legal evaluation.
The Committee also reminded that, in accordance with Article 16 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Advertising,” it is prohibited to use forms, expressions, and imagery in advertising that contradict national and family traditions or violate generally accepted norms of morality and ethics.
