Over US$949 million of remittances transferred to Uzbekistan

The total amount of money transfers to individuals, sent from abroad to Uzbekistan in the first quarter of 2018 made up US$949.4 million.
According to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, of which, taking into account the amount of foreign currency imported by residents, US$481.3 million or 50% are referred to transfers.
The main share of cross-border remittances of individuals falls to Russia (77.2%), Turkey (5.1%), Kazakhstan (4.2%), the USA (3.8%) and the Republic of Korea (2.3%).
