Over 80,000 Foreigners Visited Uzbekistan for Medical Services in the First 11 Months of 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — More than 80,000 foreign citizens chose Uzbekistan for medical treatment between January and November 2025, according to data from the National Statistics Committee.

Official figures show that during the first 11 months of the year, 80,653 foreigners arrived in the country seeking healthcare services.

The majority of medical tourists came from Central Asian countries. Specifically, 55,851 people traveled from Tajikistan, 14,296 from Kyrgyzstan, and 7,633 from Kazakhstan for treatment in Uzbekistan.

Significantly smaller numbers were recorded from other countries. From Russia, 1,820 visitors came for medical services, from Afghanistan — 678, and from Turkmenistan — 219.

Single cases of medical tourism were reported from Turkey (47 people), the United States and China (15 each), as well as Azerbaijan (10). Another 69 patients arrived from other countries.

The increase in foreign patients reflects the growing attractiveness of Uzbekistan’s healthcare system, the expansion of available medical services, and the ongoing development of medical tourism in the country.
