Over 716,000 People Receive Social Benefits in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of 1 November 2025, a total of 716,361 people in Uzbekistan are receiving social benefits, the press service of the Social Protection Agency reported.
Among the recipients, 169,232 are children with disabilities under the age of 18, 316,377 are persons with disabilities, 72,560 receive caregiver allowances, 92,498 receive age-related benefits, and 57,370 receive benefits due to the loss of a breadwinner.
In addition, 8,324 individuals provide financial support to elderly citizens living alone and persons with disabilities who require care, while 5,299 people receive compensation for housing and utility payments.
The Agency noted that in October 2025 alone, 5,819 new benefits were granted, indicating the continued expansion of the social support system for citizens.
