Over 568 bn soums of investments directed to restructuring enterprises

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Within the implementation of measures on restructuring and financial rehabilitation of insolvent enterprises and handing over them to new investors, some 568.2 billion soums of investments were directed to rehabilitated enterprises, which were included in corresponding programmes, in the first three months of 2014, an article published by Ministry of Economy and State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

In the result, these enterprises produced goods for 668.2 billion soums and exported goods for US$37 million. They also created over 6,100 new jobs.

In order to improve competitiveness of products, the large enterprises replaced 393 units of morally and physically outdated equipment with the cost of US$35.6 million. The work on introduction of 17 new technologies in line with the agreements, signed at Innovation Fairs, and launch of production of experimental products were completed.
