Over 533,660 people to enroll to colleges, lyceums

The Government of Uzbekistan issued a resolution “On admission to secondary special, professional educational establishments of Uzbekistan in 2013/2014 academic year” on 16 May 2013.
The document approved general parameters of admission of graduates of ninth class of general schools to professional and academic lyceums in 2013/2014 academic year.
According to the resolution, some 533,658 people will graduate ninth classes of the general schools in 2013 and all of them will enroll to secondary special and professional education establishments.
At the same time, about 499,341 graduates will be accepted to professional colleges and 34,317 to academic lyceums.
The resolution underlined that currently there are 143 academic lyceums and 1,411 professional colleges in Uzbekistan. At the same time, the colleges have 25 branches.
