Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — More than 515,000 lease agreements have been registered with Uzbek tax authorities, resulting in nearly 600 billion soums in taxes accrued.

Of these, 356,100 agreements were concluded between individuals, generating 445 billion soums in income tax. Compared to the same period in 2024, the number of such agreements increased by 9.1%, while the amount of accrued tax grew by 46.6%.

Meanwhile, 159,100 agreements between legal entities led to 154.5 billion soums in taxes. Compared to last year, the number of registered agreements rose by 14.1%, and the accrued tax amount increased by 34.7%.

It is noted that property owners renting to students are exempt from paying tax on this income. From January to July, this tax exemption amounted to 40.7 billion soums.

More than 65,300 lease agreements were concluded with students, covering a total of 95,307 student tenants.
