Over 4,900 enterprises with foreign capital registered in Uzbekistan

According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, 258 enterprises with foreign capital registered in Tashkent, 39 – in Tashkent region, 15 – in Samarkand region, 13 – in Andijan region, 10 – in Ferghana region, 7 – Bukhara region, 5 – in Syrdarya region and 8 – in Karakalpakstan.

In the reporting period, 78 enterprises were created with capital of residents of China, 75 – Russia, 29 – Korea Republic, 29 – Great Britain, 24 – Kazakhstan, 24 – Turkey, 17 – India, 11 – Iran, 7 – North Korea, 6 – USA, 6 – Germany, 6 – Latvia and 6 – Tajikistan.

About 180 enterprises were created in industry, 64 – trade, 28 – construction, 15 – services on accommodation and catering, 12 – agriculture, forestry and fishery and 6 – information and communication.

As of 1 October 2016, number of existing enterprises with foreign capital exceeded 4,900.
