On 20 July, universities in Uzbekistan wrapped up work on accepting documents from entrants. According to the center, as of 1:00 of 21 July 2013, Uzbek universities accepted documents from 480,397 entrants, which is record number for last 22 years. The competition makes up 8.47 persons per place.
Termez State University (24,880 applications and competition – 14.99 persons per place), Andijan State University (19,530 and 13.8) and Jizzakh State Pedagogic Institute (18,830 and 11.73) were the most popular educational institutions among entrants this year.
This year, the Uzbek universities will accept 56,607 people to Bachelor degree courses, including 19,120 – on state grants and 37,487 people – on payment-contract base.
Uzbekistan will hold university entry exams on 1 August.
