Over 4,800 companies with foreign capital operate in Uzbekistan

According to the committee, about 330 companies with foreign capital were registered in Tashkent, 44 - in Tashkent region, 23 - in Samarkand region, 21 - in Ferghana region, 20 - in Andijan region, 11 - in Surkhandarya region, 8 - in Namangan region, 7 - in Bukhara region, 7 - in Jizzakh region, 7 - in Syrdarya region and 8 - Karakalpakstan.

About 107 enterprises have been established with the participation of the capital of China, 91 - Russia, 53 - the Republic of Korea, 41 – UK, 39 - Turkey, 22 - India and 20 - Kazakhstan, etc.

About 239 enterprises with foreign investments were created in the industry sector, 115 - in trade and public catering, 10 - in the agricultural sector, 36 - in construction, 9 - in transport and communications, 51 - in other manufacturing industries, and 22 - in health, physical education and sports.

As of 1 January 2016, total number of operating enterprises with foreign capital exceeds 4,800.
