Over 284,000 Passenger Cars Produced in Uzbekistan in First Eight Months of 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan produced 284,352 passenger cars from January to August 2025, marking a 9.18% increase compared to the same period last year, according to the National Statistics Committee.
The country’s largest automaker, UzAuto Motors, manufactured 99,013 Cobalt vehicles over eight months, a decrease of 2.98% compared to the previous year. Production of Damas vans totaled 57,882 units (down 2.8%), Lacetti models reached 26,385 cars (up 9.02%), and Onix — 20,241 units (down 6.32%).
Among other brands produced domestically, notable growth was observed: 5,909 Chery cars (up 13.85%), 17,166 KIA vehicles (up 34.16%), 5,303 Haval vehicles (3.81 times higher than last year), and 12,930 BYD cars (up 51.93 times). For the first time in official statistics, production of 42 Tank 500 SUVs was recorded.
Additionally, during the reporting period, 35,936 specialized passenger vehicles were manufactured, more than doubling last year’s figure (2.07 times higher).
