Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In accordance with the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On additional measures for the implementation of the project “Introduction of an automated system for monitoring and accounting for natural gas”, work is underway to automate the system of mutual settlements with the population, installation of smart gas meters.

According to the resolution, it is planned to install 3 million 546 thousand 148 "smart" gas meters in households. As of 8 March, 78% of this number or 2,681,088 meters have been installed. Including:

In the Republic of Karakalpakstan - 155,029 units (64%);

In Andijan region - 205,985 units. (93%);

In Bukhara region - 210,539 units (80%);

In Jizzakh region - 138,526 units (96%);

In Kashkadarya region - 127,994 units. (85%);

In Navoi region - 109,510 units (82%);

In Namangan region - 174,537 units (106%);

In Samarkand region - 177,722 units. (63%);

In Surkhandarya region - 92,080 units (85%);

In Syrdarya region - 110,326 units (104%);

In Tashkent region - 546,617 units (92%);

In Ferghana region - 218,455 units (73%);

In Khorezm region - 161,587 units (72%);

In the city of Tashkent, 192,181 (31%) modern natural gas meters have been installed.

Full installation of "smart" gas meters in the country will be completed by November this year.
