Over 266,100 enterprises and organizes operate in Uzbekistan

About 5,847 enterprises and organizations were created in Tashkent, 10,023 – in Samarkand region, 9,386 – in Tashkent region, 6,791 – in Kashkadarya region, 5,068 – in Ferghana region, 4,934 – in Jazzakh region, 4,857 – in Andijan region, 3,938 – in Surkhandarya region, 3,831 – in Bukhara region, 3,644 – in Khorezm region, 3,457 – in Namangan region, 2,014 – in Navoi region, 1,974 – in Syrdarya region and 2,441 – in Karakalpakstan.

In the reporting period, 46,104 enterprises were registered in agriculture, forestry and fishery, 7,407 – in industrial and construction, 5,942 – in trade and 8,551 – in other spheres.

As of 1 October 2016, total number of existing enterprises and organizations (except farms) reached 266,100 units, of which 215,800 units – small business entities.
