Over 2,600 Uzbeks Visited Malaysia in January 2026

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In January 2026, 2,686 citizens of Uzbekistan traveled to Malaysia for tourism purposes, the press service of the National Statistics Committee reported.

According to the agency, this figure represents an increase of 800 people, or 42.4 percent, compared to the same period last year, indicating a significant rise in interest among Uzbeks in visiting Malaysia.

The majority of trips were for tourism, accounting for 2,563 people.

Additionally, 104 citizens traveled to Malaysia to visit relatives, 14 for educational purposes, and 5 for official business.
