Over 250 turtles released to nature in Uzbekistan

Over 250 Central Asian turtles, which were seized from smugglers in spring, were returned to nature in Uzbekistan.
The campaign on returning turtles to nature was held in Tashkent region – at the foothills of Kurama ridge.
The turtles were divided into small groups and released in several various areas near Kurama ridge.
Central Asian turtles were not included to the Red Book of Uzbekistan, but in many countries the turtles were included as rare spices.
