Over 1.2 Million Kazakh Citizens Visited Uzbekistan for Family Visits

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From January to July 2025, Uzbekistan was visited by 1.5 million citizens of Kazakhstan for various purposes, representing an increase of 620.7 thousand people, or 39.3%, compared to the same period last year, according to the National Statistics Committee.

The majority of Kazakh visitors came to see relatives — 1.247 million people. Business trips accounted for 111.5 thousand, tourist visits for 102.9 thousand, medical visits for 4.9 thousand, commercial trips for 0.3 thousand, and educational purposes for 0.1 thousand.

The growth in visits reflects strengthened socio-cultural ties between the two countries and demonstrates increasing interest in Uzbekistan as a destination for tourism and family visits.
