Over 1,100 Foreigners Relocated to Uzbekistan in 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A total of 1,159 foreign citizens relocated to Uzbekistan for permanent residence in 2025, according to data from the National Statistics Committee.

Russia accounted for the largest share of immigrants at 39.9%, followed by Kazakhstan with 20.3%, Tajikistan with 10.3%, Kyrgyzstan with 4.3%, and Turkmenistan with 3.1%. The remaining 22.1% came from other countries.

Regional distribution shows that most newcomers settled in and around the capital. Tashkent city received 698 immigrants, while the Tashkent region accounted for 275. The Republic of Karakalpakstan hosted 101 new residents.

Other regions recorded significantly lower figures, including 24 in Syrdarya, 14 in Ferghana, 12 each in Jizzakh and Navoi, 11 in Bukhara, and 7 in Khorezm. Kashkadarya and Samarkand regions each received two immigrants, while Namangan recorded one new resident.
