OTS Heads of Government Discuss Digitalization, Logistics, and Investment In Bishkek
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov participated in Bishkek in a collective meeting of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov with heads of delegations from member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), as well as in a meeting of heads of government and vice-presidents of OTS countries.
During the dialogue with the President of Kyrgyzstan, special attention was given to regional integration, strengthening trade and economic ties, effective use of transit potential, and other areas of cooperation.
The meeting of heads of government and vice-presidents of OTS countries included Vice President of Turkiye Cevdet Yılmaz, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliyev, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Idayat oglu Asadov, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov, and OTS Secretary-General Kubanychbek Omuraliev.
Participants discussed prospects for cooperation in economy, trade, investment, transportation, digitalization, energy, and agriculture, as well as measures to improve multilateral cooperation mechanisms within the Organization.
Special focus was placed on the effective functioning of institutions such as the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Turkic Countries, the Turkic Investment Fund, the Coordination Committee, and the Green Finance Council.
Discussions emphasized the development of transport and logistics connections, acceleration of customs digitalization, and modernization of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, including ports and railways.
Additionally, participants highlighted the importance of collaboration in research and development, including the creation of joint research centers in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and related fields.
