Order of organization of mass events set in Uzbekistan
According to new rules, the mass events can be organized in objects, which were included to list of the objects for holding mass events of the first and second category.
The list of the first category objects is approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, while the second category – by Councils of Ministers of Karakalpakstan, regional and Tashkent city administrations.
The mass events can be organized in other places, which were not included to the list of objects for organization of mass events, based on decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, Councils of Ministers of Karakalpakstan, regional and Tashkent city administrations.
The mass events should be organized in line with its agenda and based on permission and after signing of agreement with interior affairs bodies on providing security services.
The organizers have no right to announce about event on mass media, Internet or place posters at the streets, disseminate advertisement materials, as well as sell tickets.
The events, organized in line with the decision of the President or Cabinet of Ministers, can be organized without obtaining permission.
The permissions for organization of the events at the first category objects are issues by Councils of Ministers of Karakalpakstan, regional and Tashkent city administrations and the second category – by city or district administrations.
The permissions are issued for one event, declared by the organizers. If the organizers hold several events on one programme, permission for several events can be issued.
The permission is issued for free of charge. After obtaining permission, the organizers should sign agreements with interior affairs body for security services.
It is banned to sell alcohol products at the venue of the event and in the radius of 500 meters from the objects. The sales of alcohol should be suspended two hours before the event.
