Operations of Urgench State Medical Institute to Be Established

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Government of Uzbekistan has approved a resolution “On Measures for Organizing the Activities of Urgench State Medical Institute.”

According to the document, the clinic of the Urgench branch of Tashkent Medical Academy will be renamed as the clinic of Urgench State Medical Institute.

The main objectives of the new institution include training highly qualified medical personnel within a system of continuous professional education, with opportunities for retraining and advanced professional development; creating conditions to promote a healthy lifestyle among students; supporting scientific and pedagogical potential and improving teaching methods; as well as integrating medical education and science with practical healthcare to enhance the quality of medical services.

Starting from the 2025/2026 academic year, the institute plans to launch programs for basic doctoral studies and doctoral research.
