Operations at Gas Filling Stations Temporarily Restricted Due to Cold Snap In Karakalpakstan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In Karakalpakstan, temporary restrictions have been introduced on the operation of automotive gas-compressor filling stations.

The branch of Khududgaz Karakalpakstan reported that the decision is due to a sudden cold spell, which caused a drop in pressure in the main gas pipelines.

Amid the gas shortage, priority will be given to supplying households and social facilities.

Restrictions on methane refueling stations will remain in effect until the situation stabilizes, expected within 3–4 days, approximately by 1–2 March.

Later, the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan reported that the pressure in the main gas pipelines is now stable, and methane filling stations across all regions, including Karakalpakstan, are operating normally.
