Opera Tamerlano Set for World Premiere at Dubai Opera

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 10–11 January, the world premiere of the opera Tamerlano will take place at the Dubai Opera, marking the first time the work will be presented to an international audience.

Director Stefano Pod brings together music, drama, and visual art in the production, exploring timeless themes of love, power, and fate.

In a modern interpretation by Kirill Richter, Handel’s classical score receives a refreshed sound while preserving the original work’s artistic depth.

The musical performance will feature leading Uzbek ensembles, including the National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Alibek Kabdurakhmanov, the Folk Instruments Orchestra, and the State Choir.
