Opening up new opportunities for the export of Uzbek textiles to Europe

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Benelux countries and domestic textile enterprises held online negotiations with Charles Kalhorn and Charlotte Delissen, commercial director and content and brand manager of the FashionUnited media platform in the Netherlands, Dunyo news agency reported.

The main topic of negotiations was the issue of establishing export of Uzbek textile products to the European market.

As you know, the textile and sewing-knitting industry of Uzbekistan is one of the leading and dynamically developing industries. Over the past 27 years, it has become one of the leaders in attracting foreign investment, as well as in the export of high value-added products.

In turn, FashionUnited is a media platform that promotes textile clothing brands in foreign markets by preparing publications, articles, newsletters for customers. The head office is located in Amsterdam (Netherlands). FashionUnited also helps to improve marketing strategies, including by facilitating contacts between fashion enterprises.

During the negotiations, the Dutch side revealed the advantages of cooperation with Fashion United, including wide coverage of professionals in the fashion industry, providing opportunities for cooperation in B2B format, an extensive network of offices - about 30 - worldwide, audience of subscribers over 1.3 million monthly, as well as cooperation with 50 trade shows, 50 fashion schools, organizers of 50 fashion weeks and eminent brands from Louis Vuitton to H&M.

Domestic manufacturers also provided information on the export potential of Uzbekistan in this area, emphasizing that factors such as acceptable price for all population groups, high quality of goods, relatively short delivery times of no more than 10 days may interest potential buyers. They asked interesting questions on organizing the export of Uzbek products to Europe.

The director of the media platform noted that an active information campaign through the implementation of publications could help bring Uzbek textile products to the European market and attract the attention of millions of subscribers in 30 countries, including leading representatives of the fashion industry.

The effectiveness of the FashionUnited marketing strategy lies in the fact that, thanks to a well-functioning mechanism, the Google search system, upon request from alternative exporters, will give priority to the full information about Uzbek products, their manufacturers, brands for European consumers.

According to the Dutch side, the promotion of the Uzbek brand in the European market will depend on the effectiveness of specific actions - creating a target audience, maintaining a good image with relevant content, building partnerships with existing and new customers, developing a motivational position explaining the reasons for choosing Uzbek products, organization of quick search of Uzbek manufacturers and companies for constant interaction.

According to representatives of FashionUnited, a similar model of cooperation has already been established with a number of CIS countries, including Belarus and Moldova.

Following the discussions, representatives of the Dutch company expressed their readiness for long-term cooperation with Uzbek partners. The parties agreed to maintain system contacts and organize another video conference in the coming days.
