Opening branches of leading foreign universities is an investment

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at a video conference meeting on investment, which was held on 9 January, noted that opening leading universities of foreign countries is a good investment in higher education, as educated and modern specialists will bring great benefits to the country.

There are 91 universities in Uzbekistan, of which 11 were created in cooperation with foreign ones or are their branches. Higher educational institutions of Russia, Great Britain, South Korea, Singapore, and Italy and their branches operate in Uzbekistan.

In accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 7, 2019, their number will be replenished by the Indian University of Amity, which will open in the city of Tashkent.

The university will train specialists in the field of information and communication technologies in the areas of software development, management of information networks and computer networks at the level of international standards.
