Oman Air to Launch Direct Muscat–Tashkent Flights from 1, June 2026

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Oman Air will launch direct flights between Muscat and Tashkent, beginning from 1 June 2026, with services twice a week.

According to the airline, the new route is part of Oman Air’s international network expansion and will provide convenient connections between the capitals of Oman and Uzbekistan, strengthening transport links across Central Asia. This marks the eighth new route announced by Oman Air since December of last year.

As the capital and largest city of Uzbekistan, Tashkent is becoming an increasingly popular tourist destination, attracting visitors with its unique culture, historical landmarks, and recreational parks.

The new flight is expected to boost inbound tourism to Oman and further bilateral business and cultural ties between the two countries. The historic connection between Oman and Uzbekistan via the Silk Road offers travelers the opportunity to explore regions united by rich cultural heritage.

Oman Air CEO Kon Korfiatis noted that the Tashkent route reflects the airline’s commitment to building a commercially sustainable network, combining direct demand with strategically promising markets. “Central Asia is a region of growing importance for both inbound and outbound tourism. This new route will attract visitors from Uzbekistan and the wider region, supporting Oman’s broader tourism ambitions,” he said.

Flights will operate twice weekly, with a flight time of approximately four hours. Passengers will enjoy premium onboard services, a modern fleet, and Oman Air’s signature hospitality, ensuring comfort for both leisure and business travelers.
