Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a law “On Establishment of the Oliy Darajali Dustlik Order”.

The law was adopted by the Legislative Chamber on 30 September 2019 and approved by the Senate on 11 October 2019.

The Order of Oliy Darajali Dustlik, as a symbol of unlimited respect and reverence for the people of the Republic of Uzbekistan, is awarded to those who have shown high political will in the sustainable development of friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership with the Republic of Uzbekistan, to address topical issues of regional and international importance, actively put forward initiatives and given a new spirit, deep and practical meaning for the further development of multifaceted partnerships, as well as for special high services to the Republic of U Uzbekistan:

- heads of foreign states and governments;

- representatives of parliaments of foreign countries;

- leaders and representatives of international organizations, diplomatic missions, consular posts and other organizations equated to them;

- prominent statesmen and public figures, who have shown themselves to be prominent figures in the fields of science, education and upbringing, healthcare, spirituality, culture and sports, and - --- also philanthropists who have become famous for noble deeds in the spirit of humanism, well-known representatives of the business community.

The Order “Oliy Darajali Dustlik” is awarded for:

- personal contribution to the development of comprehensive beneficial partnership relations, strengthening mutual respect and trust between the Republic of Uzbekistan and other states;

- special merits in strengthening relations of friendship, mutual understanding and cooperation with the peoples of foreign countries;

- active participation in the work of carefully preserving, studying and widely promoting universal and national spiritual values, historical heritage, and further mutual enrichment of cultures and art of different peoples;

- significant results in the expansion of foreign economic activity, the implementation of major socio-economic and investment projects,

- as well as the creation and implementation in various areas of innovative ideas and technologies;

- great achievements in ensuring progress in the fields of science and enlightenment, culture, art and literature, education, health and sports, as well as in the field of human capital development;

- selfless and many years of activity in the field of protecting human rights, freedoms and legitimate interests, supporting women and children, strengthening the institution of the family;

- outstanding achievements in creating a strong and fair civil society, enhancing the role and importance of civil society institutions in the democratic renewal of the country, establishing and strengthening a systemic and effective dialogue between society and the state;

- many years of fruitful work aimed at the practical solution of environmental problems, ensuring a favorable environment in the world and the country, preserving the human gene pool, biodiversity and natural wealth, caring for environmental safety in the name of present and future generations;

- outstanding international social, humanitarian and charitable activities.

The Oliy Darajali Dustlik Order can be awarded to citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan, foreign citizens and stateless persons. Moreover, the order “Oliy Darajali Dustlik” is the highest state award of the Republic of Uzbekistan for foreign citizens and stateless persons.
