Official Welcoming Ceremony of Tajik President Takes Place

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A formal welcoming ceremony for Tajikistan's President Emomali Rahmon, who has arrived in Uzbekistan on a state visit, was held at the Kuksaroy presidential residence. Upon completion of the protocol formalities, the two heads of state proceeded to bilateral talks.

Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev personally welcomed his Tajik counterpart and invited him to the reception platform. The national flags of both countries were raised and an honor guard was drawn up. A military orchestra performed the national anthems of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

The two heads of state inspected the honor guard and greeted members of the official delegations. Bilateral negotiations began following a joint photograph.
