Official welcoming ceremony of German President takes place in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the invitation of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier arrived in Uzbekistan on 27 May with an official visit.

On 28 May, the official ceremony of welcoming the distinguished guest has been held at Kuksaroy residence. The Presidents rose to the podium to pay tribute to the national anthems of the two countries. Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Frank-Walter Steinmeier passed the guard of honor.

The ceremony was attended by members of the official delegations of Uzbekistan and Germany, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Uzbekistan.
