Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan arrived in Uzbekistan on a state visit.

On August 26, the main events of the visit in Samarkand began with a ceremonial official reception for the distinguished guest. An honor guard was assembled on the square in front of the Congress Center.

President Mirziyoyev warmly welcomed King Abdullah II and invited him to the podium.

The national anthems of both countries were performed by a military orchestra. The leaders inspected the honor guard and exchanged greetings with members of the official delegations.
