Official: Fabio Cannavaro Appointed Head Coach of Uzbekistan National Football Team

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbekistan Football Association has officially signed a contract with renowned Italian specialist Fabio Cannavaro, a three-time World Cup participant and 2006 tournament winner, widely recognized as one of the best defenders of his era.

According to the association, Cannavaro will prepare the Uzbekistan national team for the upcoming World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The Italian coach’s staff includes experienced specialists: Eugenio Albarella will serve as assistant coach, bringing experience from working with the Japan national team and clubs such as Juventus, Udinese, and Dinamo Zagreb.

Francesco Troise will oversee players’ physical conditioning, with previous experience at Benevento, Udinese, and Dinamo Zagreb.

Antonio Cimenti will act as goalkeeping coach, having worked previously with Italy’s youth national team and clubs including Sampdoria and SPAL.
