Octagram Comments on Unauthorized Card Charges via Paylov
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — JSC Octagram (brand Paylov) has issued a statement regarding recent cases of unauthorized charges on users’ bank cards through the payment service provided in partnership with JSC Humans Companies.
According to the company, the agreement to provide payment services was signed with Humans on April 10, 2025. On December 6, Octagram staff identified suspicious transactions and temporarily suspended operations.
“As of December 8, 2025, all payment services via the Humans mobile application involving JSC Octagram remain temporarily suspended. No technical vulnerabilities have been identified, and all necessary measures have been taken. Fraudulent transactions were carried out using encrypted keys, for the secure storage of which JSC Humans Companies is responsible,” the company stated.
Octagram added that no incidents have been recorded with any other partners using their technical solutions. An operational investigation is currently underway, and the company is providing all information to the competent authorities. Additional details will be released after the investigation concludes.
Earlier, social media users reported large unauthorized charges on their cards, sometimes repeated transactions, and notifications not being received by all users. Following complaints, the Central Bank temporarily suspended P2P transfers via Paylov in the Humans app.
Humans has also commented on the incidents, stating that a technical vulnerability in the infrastructure of partner service Octagram was the cause.
