Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Head of the State Inspectorate for Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chief State Sanitary Inspector of the country Nurmat Atabekov presented information at a briefing on the condition of patients infected with coronavirus.

“17 patients have signs of pneumonia. The condition of 4 people is assessed as serious, 2 - as relatively serious,” he informed. - It seems we have not yet realized the seriousness of the situation. There are still facts of quarantine violation, aimless being on the streets, non-compliance with the recommendations of doctors,” he said.

“It’s unfortunate that there are people who are careless about the first signs of the disease, seeking medical help only when their condition worsens significantly,” he added.

The chief state sanitary inspector of the country also said that according to information from the Agency for Sanitary and Epidemiological Well-Being of the Ministry of Health, today there is a stock of more than 200 thousand tests. According to the director of the Center for Advanced Technologies of the Ministry of Innovative Development, it is planned to prepare 50 thousand tests by the end of the month. Before that, they need to complete clinical trials at the the Agency for Sanitary and Epidemiological Well-Being of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and then submit the documents to the Pharmaceutical Committee.
