Nurafshon to Launch US$200M Digital Innovation Valley

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Negotiations were held in Nurafshon between the city’s Khokim, Ilkhom Klichkhanov, and representatives of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) regarding the "Digital Innovation Valley" project, scheduled for implementation from 2027 to 2030.

The meeting also included H. Yoldoshev, the head of the Tashkent regional branch of the Ministry of Digital Technologies.

Spanning 35 hectares, the project envisions the creation of an IT park, an innovation center, research institutes, modern laboratories, conference halls, educational buildings, and residential infrastructure. The centerpiece of the project will be a national center for artificial intelligence and digital technologies, with total investments amounting to $200 million.

The implementation of the project is expected to facilitate the launch of more than 500 scientific and innovative projects, the creation of over 160 technological prototypes and more than 100 startups, the attraction of US$10 million in private investment, the commercialization of 40 technological solutions, and the entry of 10 startups into international markets.

The parties discussed organizational matters, site selection, utility infrastructure, the phased implementation of the project, the formation of a modern innovative ecosystem, and the creation of new jobs in the region.
