Number of VAT Payers in Uzbekistan Rises 18.5% Year-on-Year

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of 1 August 2025, Uzbekistan had 233,048 VAT-registered taxpayers, an increase of 18.5% compared to 1August 2024.

The largest numbers of VAT payers are concentrated in the following sectors: trade — 79,500, agriculture — 48,200, and industry — 27,900.

The fastest growth in the number of VAT payers has been observed in the services sector — 77%, transport — 18%, and in information and communications — 14.6%.
