Number of Social Benefit Recipients in Uzbekistan Approaches 716,000
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of 1 February 2026, a total of 715,849 citizens in Uzbekistan are receiving social benefits.
The trend in disbursements remains stable: in January alone, 6,225 new recipients were added to the list.
The largest share of support is provided to people with disabilities, including children under 18, covering over 481,000 individuals. A significant portion of funds is also allocated for age-related payments and care for incapacitated family members.
More than 58,000 people receive benefits due to the loss of a breadwinner.
In addition, budgetary funds are directed toward targeted financial assistance for elderly individuals living alone, compensation for housing and utility services, and support for family-run orphanages.
