Number of small businesses exceeds 207,100 units

According to the State Statistics Committee, number of existing small businesses reached 2017,104 units as of 1 January 2016, which rose by 5.7% compared to 2014.

Share of small and private enterprises in production of industrial goods made up 38.9% in 2015 (34.8% in 2014), retail trade turnover – 87.1% (86.3), services – 55.7% (51.5%), paid services – 50.8% (48.6%), cargo transportation – 53.1% (50.9%), passenger transportation – 88% (85.6%) and employment – 77.9% (77.6%).

The small enterprises used investment for 14.789 trillion soums in 2015, which made up 36.3% from total volume of utilized investments in Uzbekistan.

Small businesses carried out construction works for 17.015 billion soums in 2015 (67.2% from total construction works). The growth rate made up 14.4% compared to 2014.
