Number of Road Accidents in Uzbekistan Falls by 3.8% in First Nine Months of 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan recorded 5,895 road traffic accidents from January to September 2025, according to Kutbiddin Burkhanov, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Defense and Security.
Compared to the same period in 2024, the total number of accidents decreased by 3.8%.
The number of accidents resulting in injuries fell from 4,759 to 4,592, a reduction of 3.5%.
Fatal accidents declined from 1,368 to 1,303, marking a 4.8% decrease.
Additionally, accidents involving pedestrians dropped from 2,855 cases in January–September 2024 to 2,689 in 2025, reflecting a 5.8% reduction.
