Number of newly created enterprises and organizations makes up 51,100

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In January-November 2018, the number of newly created enterprises and organizations in Uzbekistan makes up 51,100, which is 12,600 more than the same period of last year.

According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, as a result, the number of existing enterprises and organizations has increased by 35,900 units since last year (12.6%) and reached 321,600 units.

Of the total number of existing enterprises and organizations, 21.9% of enterprises and organizations work in the trade sector, 17.5% - in industry, 9.0% - in construction, 7.6% - in agriculture, forestry and fishery, accommodation services and nutrition - 6.1%, transportation and storage - 4.1%, information and communication - 2.2%, health care and the provision of social services - 2.1%, other spheres of economic activity - 29.5%.

In January-November 2018, the number of newly created enterprises and organizations in Uzbekistan amounted to 51,123 units, which is 32.8% more than the same period of last year.

The largest part of the total number of newly created enterprises and organizations is in the city of Tashkent (11,655 units), Tashkent (4,973 units), Samarkand (4,451 units) and Ferghana (4,046 units) regions. The smallest falls on Syrdarya (1428 units), Navoi (1913 units) and Khorezm (2133 units) regions.

The main part of enterprises falls on the trade sector (10,735 units), industry (10,442 units), construction (5,920 units), agriculture, forestry and fisheries (5282 units). The smallest number is observed in the field of health care and the provision of social services (1106 units), information and communication (1160 units), as well as in the field of transportation and storage (1946 units).

The number of existing commercial enterprises and organizations as of 1 December 2018 was 263,300 units, of which 72,400 units were private enterprises, 15,300 units - family enterprises, 168,600 units - limited liability companies and 7,000 units - other enterprises.
